Ephoris Lacedaemoniorum Cleandridae et Plistianacti multum pecuniae largitus est ob proditionem. Cum ab eodem rationem exigeret civitas, nolens se ipsum et Lacedaemonios rubore confundere, respondit se in necessaria expendisse. Quô auditô Lacedaemonii Cleandridem morte, Plistianactem quindecim talentis multârunt, existimantes ipsos corruptos, ut parcerent reliquae Atticae regioni, es hostico excessisse.
